Andrew Bowman Steps Down From Inverclyde Chamber Board

Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce has announced that its Junior Vice-President, Andrew Bowman is stepping down from his role as a director of ICC to concentrate on his own business interests and the growth of Bowman Rebecchi.

Bowman, who has been a director since June 2018, will continue to support Chamber CEO, George McKay and the ICC Board through his consultancy, ARB Growth.

Reflecting on his decision, Andrew said:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time as part of the ICC Board and it has been an honour to represent the membership and the Inverclyde business community.

“My decision comes at a time when I would like to dedicate more of my time to my own business interests which continue to grow through Bowman Rebecchi.

“It has been a difficult and challenging year for local businesses and I am proud of the network and business support that ICC has built and will continue to deliver.  

“I’d like to thank Gavin McDonagh and previous president, Linda Scott for the opportunity and will continue to support George and the Chamber Board going forwards.”

Gavin McDonagh, ICC President said:

“We would like to thank Andrew for his contribution as a valued Board member and with his businesses remaining within our membership, we look forward to continuing to support them and the wider Inverclyde business community at this difficult time as the economy attempts to stabilise and recover. 

“On a personal note, I have to underline Andrew’s contribution and dedication to the Chamber and ultimately my Presidency. Without his input, we would have had a lot more difficulty forming and presenting the new Chamber Strategy and direction.

“His drive, enthusiasm, and work ethic have been commendable on all fronts and we are delighted that Andrew will remain involved with ICC as we ensure our local businesses continue to have a voice.”
