Business Centre Plan For Former Gourock Police Station

Part of Gourock’s former police station looks set to be turned into a business centre, with the old cells turned into offices.

Planning permission to change the use of the ground floor is being sought by Rebecchi Architectural from Inverclyde Council by businessman Tony Dhesi of nearby Cleats Bar.

Rear window openings in the old custody suite at the Kempock Place premises would be enlarged to form four doors.

The four custody cells would become individual offices each with a small garden area at the back of the building.

Four other rooms - including the former dog pend - would also be used as office accommodation.

The proposal is pending assessment by Inverclyde planners.
