Car Sales Firm Can Drive Ahead With Town Centre Showroom Plan

Planners have agreed that empty premises in central Greenock can be used for car sales.

Inverclyde Council officials approved a change-of-use application submitted by Clyde Cars Ltd for a building at the corner of Jamaica Street at Jamaica Lane.

The premises were last used by a funeral business and, for many years before that, were the base for Elite Office Equipment.

Drawings submitted by Rebecchi Architectural indicate there would be display space for around 25 cars.

The property is marketed by Bowman Rebecchi.
