Excitement as New Beauticians Opens in West End of Greenock

A new enterprise by three local female entrepreneurs is celebrating after opening its doors in Union Street, Greenock.

Sanctuary Beauty Rooms started trading at the end of September and is the creation of local beauty technicians Emma O’Hara, Denise Stanton, and Gayle Hurley.

The unisex salon provides treatments to suit the needs of all, including eyebrows, eyelashes, waxing, nails, microblading, facials and massages.

Based at the corner of Roberson Street and Union Street, the new salon has been given a makeover to support the aims of the owners,  who have worked together locally over the past three years.

The fledgeling business has enjoyed a strong two-week opening period, with almost all treatments experiencing bookings up to 4 weeks in advance.

The new tenancy represents another successful letting for local commercial property services firm Bowman Rebecchi, who acted as the agents on behalf of the owners.

Speaking of the new premises, Emma said:

“It has long been our ambition to create our own style and salon to reflect the high-calibre services that we provide.

“The unit is perfect in terms of layout and location to support the delivery for our clients, and we were able to move quickly to ensure we could progress with our aims.

“It has been an exceptionally busy time getting the Rooms ready, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the support and interest to date from our existing but also new clients.

“We’d like to thank Bowman Rebecchi and our landlord for their help and support to ensure we were able to progress with successfully opening the Sanctuary Beauty Rooms.”

Marco Rebecchi, Director of Bowman Rebecchi, said:

“This unit was in fantastic condition and is a perfect fit for what the team at Sanctuary Beauty Rooms are aiming to achieve.

“The west end of Greenock has long needed a high-calibre enterprise like this, and we believe the letting is an excellent match for all parties. We would like to wish Emma, Denise, and Gayle every success.

“Bowman Rebecchi continues to see a high level of interest in commercial lettings and sales across Inverclyde despite the current difficulties for many businesses during the pandemic.”

Sanctuary Beauty Rooms is located at 24D Union Street in Greenock and is open Tuesday to Saturday.
