More than 5 acres of land which formed part of the former Tate & Lyle sugar refinery in Greenock has been sold, subject to the conclusion of missives.
The prime historic site was made available to purchase in early October 2021, with the site providing a range of opportunities to develop a potential residential or commercial development site (subject to securing appropriate statutory consent).
The subjects, which extend to approximately 2.11 hectares (5.2 acres), were originally formed part of the Tate & Lyle sugar refinery which closed in 1997.
The site occupies an attractive elevated position on the eastern side of Drumfrochar Road in Greenock, which can be accessed from Baker Street, Lynedoch Street or Dunlop Street.
Other enterprises in the vicinity include the Pelagia fish plant which is currently being redeveloped, as well as M&J Timber adjacent.
