Large Industrial Unit Snapped Up In Greenock Following Rates Appeal

A large long-term vacant unit has been let by Bowman Rebecchi as the demand for industrial space across west Scotland continues to grow.

Earlier this month, Bowman Rebecchi reported its successful business rates appeal for the unit to bring it back into contention for 100% rates relief through the Small Business Bonus scheme.

The new rateable value led to a spike in interest for the 6,239 square foot industrial unit at MacDougall Street in Greenock.

Bowman Rebecchi's appeal, managed on behalf of its client, was upheld by Renfrewshire Valuation Joint Board in August, seeing the previous rateable value of £15,400 fall to £10,900.

As with this case, if the rateable value falls under £15,000, then 100% rates relief can be applied equating to no additional outlay for businesses.

Further details on the new tenant and its business are expected to follow.
