Agreement Reached For Former Social Housing Flats

Bowman Rebecchi has confirmed that a preferred bidder has been confirmed for four disused residential blocks at Neil Street in Greenock, totalling 48 flats, subject to internal, legal and Regulator approval.

80-86 Neil Street comprises of two parcels of land, lying to either side of Fergus Road, upon which there are in total four blocks of flatted dwellings, three on the west side and one on the east side made up of 12 x 1 bedroom flats.

The flats, which lie to the north of Neil Street and both the east and west of Fergus Road in Greenock were subject to several clauses including a profit share, with all development for rent offers rejected.

Andrew Bowman, Director of Bowman Rebecchi said:

"We were pleasantly surprised by the interest shown in the properties and the opportunity, with numerous parties from across Scotland seeing Inverclyde as an area of investment.

"This is a fantastic refurbishment or development opportunity, and will hopefully lead to further housing opportunities for the local market where supply is scarce currently.

"We'd like to thank all of the parties that contacted us and look forward to supporting the completion of this deal for our client."
