Bowman Rebecchi has further extended its support to local organisations by supporting Creative Inverclyde's return to creative events at the New York Times Climate Hub in Glasgow as part of COP26 this evening.
Creative Inverclyde (CI) announced its participation at the UN Climate Conference COP26 in October 2021, with the social enterprise hosting an event tonight at the New York Times Climate Hub at SWG3 in Glasgow.
CI Co-founder and local artist, Craig Black will deliver a live art performance alongside a fashion show, created by two leading U.K. businesses in sustainable fashion, ACS Clothing and Hirestreet.
Clothing accounts for around 12 per cent of emissions and is the world’s second-largest industrial polluter but sustainable fashion can be a force for good.
Held among Es Devlin’s immersive forest setting, Craig will perform his acrylic fusion paint process live over large globe-like spheres, engaging with the crowd as a sustainable fashion show emerges from the audience. Upbeat, bright, hopeful, and catalytic, this formidable live act is set to be a must-see event.
Speaking ahead of the show, Craig Black said:
“It is fantastic that Creative Inverclyde has secured this space at one of the world’s largest and highest-profile events, and we are delighted to be able to represent and showcase some of Inverclyde’s creative talent.
“We are excited and grateful to Bowman Rebecchi and all of our fantastic partners for their support in hosting this night at the New York Times Climate Hub at SWG3.
“It has been a frustrating time for the Creative Inverclyde team given our inability to host events during Covid-19, but this is our first step back to what promises to be an exciting 2022 programme of events for local creatives.”
Bowman Rebecchi Director, Marco Rebecchi said:
“It is fantastic that Bowman Rebecchi can support Creative Inverclyde with this exciting event and be a small part of COP26.
"We continue to support local groups and we look forward to the night and wish the team every success.”
