Car Showroom Plan Drawn Up For Greenock Town Centre Building

Planners are being asked to agree that empty premises in central Greenock can be used for car sales.

A change-of-use application has been submitted by Clyde Cars Ltd for the Bowman Rebecchi marketed building at the corner of Jamaica Street at Jamaica Lane.

It was last used by a funeral business and for many years before that was the base for Elite Office Equipment.

Drawings submitted with the proposal indicate there would be display space for around 25 cars.

The application is pending assessment by Inverclyde Council planning department.
