Inverclyde Estate Agency Secures New Premises To Support Expansion Plans

Greenock-based estate agency, McArthur Scott is celebrating after agreeing to purchase three properties in Gourock.

The boutique estate and lettings agency, which launched in July 2017, has been based in Brougham Street in Greenock, providing a modern and bespoke service to its customers.

Its acquisition, which was completed in early September, will see McArthur Scott relocate to 11 John Street following internal refurbishment works, with 9 and 13 John Street continuing to be leased separately by the business.

The family business has enjoyed fantastic success during the past three years, experiencing substantial growth to become one of the top three most popular estate agencies in Inverclyde.

Having rented its Brougham Street premises, the business has been searching to acquire a permanent base, with the company considering several options before purchasing its new Gourock premises.

Speaking of the acquisition, owner Fiona McArthur (pictured) said:

“We are delighted to secure our new home and to be relocating to Gourock following an exhaustive search of the local market.

“The business continues to go from strength to strength, and this expansion will enable the company also to house a financial planner to further support customers with their plans, as well as create the right environment for our staff and clients.

“We would like to thank Marco Medinelli for all of his support with our current premises. Having our own space is essential for our long-term aims, and we were able to move quickly on this property to stay on track with our growth projections.

“We continue to work closely with Bowman Rebecchi thanks to our partnership, and we would like to thank Andrew and Marco alongside Patten and Prentice and Allied Surveyors, for their support and assistance in securing this property.”

The sale signifies a further success for fellow Gourock-based commercial property specialists, Bowman Rebecchi, which since launching in February 2020, has won two national awards and doubled its commercial portfolio.

Marco Rebecchi (pictured), Director of Bowman Rebecchi, said:

“This is a fantastic example of Bowman Rebecchi putting its market knowledge to great use to sell the property and ensure a quick and seamless sale.

“Despite the challenge’s that lockdown presents, we were able to offer a smooth and pragmatic approach, much to the delight of both the landlord and McArthur Scott.

“We’d like to wish Fiona and her team every success at John Street and look forward to continuing to collaborate.”
