Inverclyde Independent Retailers Growth Programme: Empowering Local Retailers

Tickety Boo Training and associates, on behalf of Inverclyde Council, is thrilled to announce an exclusive opportunity for independent Inverclyde retailers: The Inverclyde Independent Retailers Growth Programme.

This impressive initiative, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund #UKSPF, is specifically designed to bolster local businesses, positively impacting the local economy and solidarity within the retail community.

The programme promises to provide in-depth guidance, nurturing businesses to reach their full potential by focusing on core aspects including business strategy, marketing, customer service, e-commerce, stock control, plus people and performance management.

Participants can expect a comprehensive learning journey through five interactive in-person sessions as well as the flexibility to opt for on-site or online 1-2-1 sessions, all under the supervision of industry experts. The programme aims to provide a platform for retailers to connect, share, and learn from each other.

On successfully completing the programme, retailers could even be eligible for a grant up to 100 per cent to a maximum of £1,000 to assist their business towards higher growth.

Eligibility for this programme is extended to business owners with retail premises operating in Inverclyde for a minimum of one year, with no minimum turnover requirement.

The goal is simple and robust: to help your retail business and the local community prosper! By participating in this programme, local retailers can increase sales, secure jobs, boost the local economy, and foster strong connections within Inverclyde’s retail family.

Councillor Michael McCormick, Inverclyde Council’s convener of environment and regeneration, said: “Small businesses are vital for the economy locally and nationally and this business development programme is designed to help independent retailers to grow and prosper.

“Whether it is accessing help to generate sales and employ more staff or to digitise their business and improve the layout of the premises, this initiative will provide expert, one-to-one support for businesses to achieve their goals and there is also the opportunity to access grant funding to accelerate their growth and development plans.

“There is also the opportunity to establish a local network of like-minded business owners from across Inverclyde to share ideas and support each other.”
